Tianjin Maidisen Chemical CO., LTD. which was registered in Tianjin Xiqing Industrial Park, was founded in August 2002. Backed technically by Nankai University,the company has become a high-tech chemical enterprise, with research, manufacture and marketing integrated into a whole. As a base for Nankai University to transform its high-tech achievements, the company has become one of the key chemical enterprises supported by the Municipal Government.

As it is backed technically both by the related colleges and research institutions of Nankai University and by its strong technical personnel, the company has made substantial achievements in science and technology. Its R&D center has engaged several renowned specialists from Nankai University in the fields of chemistry and biochemistry. Currently, there are as many as 58 full-time researchers working in the center, including 28 senior engineers at professor's level and 12 researchers with Ph.D degrees. The company is working in such fields as fine chemicals, dyeing technique, medicine synthetization, traditional Chinese medicine extraction and energy material. The company has developed nearly 100 products, which belong to the four categories as follows: photo stabilizers & initiators, dyes and pigments, water treating agents and pharmaceutical intermediates.

The company lays stress on the combination of real economy with fictitious management. The company covers an area of 50,000 square meters, and the workshop occupies an area of 5,000 square meters, well supplied with water, electricity, steam and heating. The company has fixed its mode for enterprise development: to have the R&D Center and the Information Center as its core competitive force. Not only is the company backed technically by Nankai University and Tianjin University, but it is also keeping strategic cooperative relationship with companies and research institutions from Britain, the United States, Germany, Japan and Switzerland.
